My Dentist Appointment

So I got to spend 3 hours at the dentist this morning. It's not my favorite thing to do before I go to work but that's what I had to do. My tooth broke on Sunday and I got to go and take care of getting a crown on my back tooth. I was so nervous about doing this even though I have gotten crowns before. I had such a hard time with relaxing and I had to sit there and concentrate on breathing and relaxing. At one point I got to feeling so shakey that I had to force myself to stay seated and not get up and go running out. My mantra was "Relax, relax" and "breathe, breathe"...it was so crazy! Then the dentist is trying to drill on the back of my tooth and I couldn't breathe for the life of me. I had to try to breathe out through my mouth and move my tongue out of the way and try not to swallow any of the water that they were using while he was drilling. Not fun at all..I kept apolozing for not being able to breathe and they kept working with me. It wasn't easy for the poor dentist either...oh well...it got done and I got the temporary crown on. I prayed for help and I received it...I am so grateful for the help too! Then after they were done with the crown they asked when was the last time I got my teeth cleaned and it was time so I got to stay longer for that, making it a 3 hour appointment!

At least I got done so that I could run to the store and get something for lunch at work and make it to work on time. What a morning it was though. I'm glad that one is over!

Now I get to have Good Friday off and all of next week...spring break, yeah!!! My boys are also off so it should be fun.

This week my goal is to get the room cleaned out so that Catherine can move into it. That's going to be a challenge to get things out of the room so that Catherine can live in it. I have been waiting for the time off so tomorrow morning I get to start working on it...go me! I am happy to have Catherine here for a little while so it should be fine. She will be moving into Michael's room after he moves out so that will be easier...in the meantime...I get to clean things out of the way for her. Joy, joy...it's all worth it though and I can spring clean that room anyway. It will make me realize how much stuff that I have that I need to get rid of. Of course, I get to rearrange my closet so that I can put some stuff in there, like my sewing machine and such. Good stuff to get done, time consuming, but good.

I'll update after it is done...I won't have time before that! lol

I need a crown

Well...I went to the dentist yesterday to get my tooth checked...I found out on Sunday that a part of my tooth is missing...and yes, I get to get a crown on it. I guess the outside of the tooth itself broke off and the large filling is still there so I get to go back on Thursday to get a crown put on. I have had so much work done on my teeth as I grew up that I have large fillings in most of my back teeth. So...with a part of my tooth breaking off I get another crown, I've got about 3 or 4 of them right now. I hated being at the dentist for this and felt myself getting all tight and had to relax myself and just breathe...it will all be okay though. I really wanted my old dentist back, my friend Chuck Cripps, but he sold his practice a few years ago and is now working at a prison as a dentist. Oh well...at least they are good where we are at now.

I have so much to do around my house too. Catherine is moving back in with us after about 8 years of being gone. She moved back here to California and moved in with her sister and we knew that wouldn't be a long term solution. So...she is moving back in with us while she goes back to school. She is a massage therapist but is thinking of becoming a nurse. That would be a good profession for her as she is so caring. Massage therapy is just so hard on the body, but she is fantastic at it. So...with Catherine moving back in I get to clean out the room she needs and figure out where to put the items in it, mostly. Michael should be moving out and up to Utah in about 2 months so she'll go in there after he leaves, so I just need to make sure that she has a place for her things until she moves in to his room. We thought we would have empty nest syndrome, but not yet. That's okay though...this is what family is for, to help each other, right?

I made some cute little boxes last night and am going to fill them with some easter goodies for the officers at work. That should be fun too. I get to do that this morning and take them to work. Tomorrow morning I'm at the dentist so I don't want to forget them so I will take them today. Anyway...off to get some things done around here...busy, busy, busy...

So much going on right now...

It's been a little while and so much is happening in my life right now. First of all I get to go to the dentist today and get a tooth fixed. I noticed on Sunday morning that a side of my tooth is missing. Thankfully I am not in pain with this and figure they will have to put a crown on it, but at least I have insurance and can go in and get it fixed.

My daughter, Catherine, is moving from her sisters in to our home next week. She has been living with her sister since August and it's time for her to leave there and come live here. I am so grateful to Christina for opening her home to her sister and am getting ready for Catherine to move in here. We figured that we would be empty nesters this summer with Michael going to BYU-Provo and Daniel getting out on his mission (don't know when yet) but it doesn't seem to be the way it will be going. It's all good though...I thoroughly enjoy my children and don't mind helping Catherine out. She will be enrolling in the local college to work on more education while she continues with her massage therapy. I think she's looking at nursing eventually but we will see what she decides. That's what we as parents do, right? Help our children when they need it.

Rennaissance Faire has begun and we are busy with that on Saturdays. Friday nights are busy with cooking for it as we take our own food but it's so much fun to go down there and be a part of the magic that is Renn Faire. It's hard though as it takes away from the family on Saturday's but at least we only do it one day a weekend and devote Sunday to church and family. It's been so much work to get to this point with it and I know it will go fast. I am enjoying faire once again and the friendships that we have with people down there. I just hope that we set a good example of the Gospel and Jesus Christ...that's all I can do is try to set that example for those that we are around. They know we are LDS and respect us for our actions and beliefs. It's all good.

Daniel is waiting to interview with the stake president so his mission papers are submitted to Salt Lake. It has been a while in coming as he works hard on losing the weight he has to lose to go on his mission. He works out 4 days a week at the college and is working so hard. It will be such a blessing for him to get his mission call and be able to get on with his life and get his mission served. I love Daniel so much and will miss my youngest son but am so grateful that he wants to go and serve the Lord. He is such an amazing young man. I am so proud of you Daniel!

Life is challenging in some ways right now but with the Lord's help I will get through all of this and be the better for it. Life is good though too.

I am so grateful for my wonderful family and the joy and beauty they bring to my life. I am also grateful for my friends and the beautiful people they are. I am so blessed.

Watching a Movie

So I am sitting here watching a movie with Daniel and Chuck and I have to be on here as it is so suspenseful that I can't watch it...I do not like movies like this and have to have something to keep my mind off of the suspense.

We have Renn Faire rehearsals tomorrow so I can't stay up too late but I will do what I can to watch this movie. So...we'll see how it goes. lol

Otherwise I have had an okay day and enjoyed going to Costco with Christina for a little while. I love to spend time with my family so that was pretty fun and I got to see my sweet grandchildren. Ray was so sweet and tried to help me get Catherine's computer working, can't get the monitor to agree to the computer so we have to try another monitor. In whole it's been a pretty good day.

Off to the movie...I'll try to concentrate on it some more. :)

Getting ready for the day

Some days are easier to get ready for than others. I think we all find that. I am thinking too much right now and trying to process through the things I am thinking about. It's such a drag to think too much about things that happen. This too shall pass...it always does, but in the meantime it sure isn't too much fun to get through. I know that I will though and I am so grateful for my Father in Heaven and the love that he shows me. I am so grateful for my wonderful family and all that they do for me and the support that my family is to me.

Another day

So...I am feeling better and the dizziness that I felt yesterday is pretty much gone, thank goodness. I am glad that I am better, it stinks to be sick, but we all know that.

Tonight we aren't have presidency meeting as the president is with her son at the hospital. He had surgery today and is doing fine and that's what is important, that he is fine. What an answer to prayers.

I am so grateful that the Lord watches over me. I have had some challenges lately and it's such a feeling of comfort to know that my Heavenly Father loves me so much and cares about me. It is such a feeling of peace after I get through the feelings of upset that I have to process through. I love my Heavenly Father...he is so amazing!

What a day...I'm dizzy!

So, yesterday I was dizzy...don't know why. I figured I would go to bed and wake up fine, nope, still dizzy. I was sitting here thinking about work and got up to go and get ready and there we go again, dizzy. I don't know why I am a dizzy dame today but I am so I called in and am staying home to hopefully get over this feeling of dizziness. I figured I could go in to work but would have a hard time so I had better stay home. Meanwhile the boys are off to college for the day so it will be pretty quiet around here. That's okay though...I need to rest and get over this. At least it isn't too severe like a friend of mine has it.

This too shall pass, right? :)
